I am Dr. Paul S. Sussman, a licensed psychologist in the state of Georgia, and a chartered psychologist in Alberta, Canada. I have been in private practice for nearly 20 years. People come to see me, and I try to help them. The busyness of my practice is evidence that people find me helpful.
I am also sometimes known as the NiteShrink, a reference to a successful talk radio show I hosted years ago. The show succeeded, but the station failed. The name remains. The show was on the air weekends from midnight to 3:00 AM. The time slot and format bear witness to the fact that providing affordable access to psychological expertise to people when and where they need it has long been my commitment.
Since obtaining the Ph.D. in psychology from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, I have taught psychology at accredited universities. Also, I have served as clinical psychologist at recognized hospitals and recovery centres. Primarily, however, I have been in private practice.
I recently completed two years of service as the elected Chair of the International Heart-Centered Therapies Association. I am a member in good standing of the Canadian Psychological Association, the Psychologists Association of Alberta, and the Society for Personality Assessment. I am registered with the Canadian Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology, and the College of Alberta Psychologists. |
